About WeSimSims

Physics made
to explore.

WeSimSims is an independent creative coding project for watching, changing, and exporting playful simulations. Its purpose is simple: make dynamic systems understandable enough to experiment with and entertaining enough to replay.

Built for the browser

WeSimSims is independently built and operated as an original browser-based physics playground. The simulations run on your device; no prerecorded winner is substituted for the live result.

Seeds, rules, and real outcomes

Some experiences use a saved seed so the same starting conditions can be replayed. Others intentionally generate a fresh course or initial state. Randomness chooses inputs; the simulation rules determine what happens next.

Original presentation

Interfaces, motion systems, visual effects, synthesized sounds, and export tools are designed for WeSimSims. Third-party libraries provide underlying web and rendering capabilities, not finished simulations or copied editorial content.

How a simulation is made

From a question to a replayable system

  1. 1. Define the question. Can a ball escape? Which racer survives a course? When do separate rhythms meet?
  2. 2. Define the rules. Motion, collisions, health, timing, spawning, hazards, and win conditions are implemented as explicit systems.
  3. 3. Test outcomes. Automated tests cover core mechanics, while repeated visual runs are used to tune pacing and confirm that controls change the real model.
  4. 4. Make it explainable. Each main simulator includes instructions, mechanics, experiment ideas, limitations, and examples so the page remains useful beyond a single play.
Assets and rights

Artwork, audio, and exports

Most visuals are drawn procedurally by the simulation or created specifically for WeSimSims. Sound is synthesized in the browser unless an experience identifies another source. Open-source packages are used under their respective licenses. Users remain responsible for names, images, audio, or other material they add to an export.

See the Content & IP Rules for upload and export responsibilities, and the Privacy Policy for information-handling details.
