Destruction lab

Will the ball
escape?

Carve persistent holes through glowing rings, build suspense, then capture the vertical run.

Simulator guide

How Ring Escape Creator
actually works.

Ring Escape asks whether a moving ball can carve a route through concentric destructible barriers. Persistent damage makes every impact matter: a failed hit can still prepare an opening for a later pass.

How to use it

  1. 1Choose a difficulty preset or seed.
  2. 2Tune ball speed, ring health, segment density, trails, and camera effects.
  3. 3Run the same seed to compare settings or generate a new seed for a new starting state.

What the model demonstrates

Each ring is divided into damageable segments. A ball collision reduces the contacted segment's health; destroyed segments remain open. The ball escapes only after its path clears every active ring.

Controls that matter

Seed
A seed makes the initial setup repeatable so two configurations can be compared fairly.
Damage model
Segment count, health, and damage per hit determine how quickly openings form.
Presentation
Trails, particles, palette, zoom, and vertical framing change appearance without secretly choosing the result.

Experiments to try

  • Replay one seed with low and high damage per hit.
  • Increase segment count while keeping total ring size unchanged.
  • Compare a fast ball with a slower ball that creates more controlled repeat contacts.

How to read an outcome

High damage creates openings quickly, but direction still determines whether the ball can revisit them. More segments create smaller local openings and usually demand a more precise trajectory.

Limitations and accessibility

The rings are discrete segments rather than continuous physical material. Damage and rebound are designed for a clear game loop, not structural-engineering analysis.

Animations may include rapid motion, flashes, synthesized sound, and dense particle effects. Pause playback, mute sound, or reduce graphics quality whenever needed.

Frequently asked questions

What does the seed control?

It preserves the generated starting conditions; it does not script the winner.

Does a broken piece grow back?

No. Segment damage is persistent for that run.
